Press Release: January 5, 2024

The Board of Directors of leading local nonprofit preschool and family services provider Mainspring Schools voted to add a new Austin leader to its governing body.

Mainspring Schools has added a new member to its Board of Directors. Alejandra Salas's 3-year term began in December 2023.

ABOUT ALEJANDRA SALAS

Alejandra Salas is an attorney at McGinnis Lochridge LLP, where she represents clients in litigation matters.

Alejandra earned her J.D. Magna Cum Laude from St. Mary’s University School of Law and holds a degree from The University of Texas at Austin. Her path to success was paved with challenges, and her journey instilled in her a deep commitment to giving back, which she has demonstrated through her active involvement in organizations dedicated to supporting underrepresented communities.

Her dedication to making a difference led her to The New Philanthropist’s board matching program, where she was matched with Mainspring Schools. Motivated by a desire to pay it forward and assist families in situations not so different from her own, Alejandra decided to join the Mainspring Schools Board of Directors. In this role, Alejandra combines her passion for empowering families and enriching the community with Mainspring Schools’ dedication to providing high-quality learning experiences to children from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, a mission that deeply aligns with Alejandra’s vision of creating a world where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
