Acclaimed author Paul Tough was the guest at Mainspring's annual fundraising luncheon. He spoke about his research into effective ways to counter the devastating effects of poverty on children. Earlier he moderated a panel of community leaders as they discussed Austin's progress in helping children succeed, and what communities around the country are doing about poverty and education.
